Experience

Yu Ting Pak (Ting Ting) is a licensed therapist trained in New York City. She specializes in providing therapy to adolescents and adults.

Ting Ting is a graduate from Columbia University’s counseling psychology program and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the United States. Ting Ting is also an EMDR therapist.

Ting Ting has experience with a diverse range of clinical issues including depression, anxiety, relationship/family issues, self-esteem, stress management and work challenges. Ting Ting grew up in Hong Kong and graduated from an international school before studying and working in the US, therefore her international background also allows her to be deeply familiar with cross-cultural challenges and transitions. Prior to returning to Hong Kong, Ting Ting worked in an outpatient mental health clinic in New York City, where she also supervised staff and interns.

Ting Ting works from a holistic lens, offering personalised treatment built around individual needs, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences, to generally help individuals understand themselves better. She provides an integrative approach, guided by humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, while drawing from cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies. Her style is warm and collaborative, and she is committed to provide a safe and trusting space where her clients feel seen, understood, and accepted.
