From 20 Jan to 25 Feb 2024, our team embarked on the inspirational Weez Walk around the picturesque island, completing the challenging 60-kilometre coastal trail with remarkable success.
Weez Walk was established in 2021 to raise funds and awareness for self-harm and suicide ideation in children. It involves walking and running in teams or as individuals around the perimeter of Hong Kong Island.
All proceeds from Weez Walk 2024 will be generously donated to the Kaili Youth Support Association. This contribution will be instrumental in developing and implementing preventive mental health programs that will benefit the youth of Hong Kong, ensuring a brighter, healthier future.
Whether it is consulting with schools, international business organisations or renowned events such as the Rugby World Cup and Hong Kong Sevens, we are always willing to share our medical knowledge and expertise with local and global communities.
We are also committed to reducing energy use and waste. All OT&P clinics participate in the Earth Hour campaign and have implemented a responsible recycling program. The new IT system has helped improve our energy rating and efficiency, reducing paper and migrating to digital methods. All consultation notes and clinical information are now digital.
Since 2019, OT&P Healthcare has been recognised by the Caring Company Scheme for our unwavering commitment to uplift the Hong Kong community. The Clinic has been nominated for the award on the basis of continuous effort in Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees, and Caring for the Environment.
The Caring Company Scheme is an organisation under The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). The scheme's mission is to "build a cohesive society by promoting strategic partnerships among business and social service partners, and inspiring corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees, and the environment".
OT&P Healthcare is a long-time supporter of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Fund. We conduct a Well Woman campaign in October annually and organise a Pink Day to support and raise funds for those who are fighting breast cancer and their families.
On this day, we encourage all our employees to wear pink, and the company makes a donation on their behalf. We also offer our female employees special prices for women’s health tests and a discount promotion for our patients. We donate a portion of these proceeds for the research of breast cancer treatments.
OT&P Healthcare's Sports Medicine department is highly involved with the Hong Kong Rugby Union. OT&P's co-founder, Dr David Owens, serves as the Chief Medical Officer for the Hong Kong Rugby Union.
